If your kids have moved out of the house, you have no friends, you are disabled, unemployed, your spouse has passed away, that could be a blessing.
We need people who will pray without cease and stay in constant communion with God to develop that Faith of a Mustard seed that will move mountains.
Exodus 17
Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”
10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning,but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword."
So I went to the top of a Hill overlooking my city with hands raised over the city and prayed for the battle between good and evil below.
It was a very rewarding experience , it may turn into a daily practice. It was that same feeling you get at a life in the spirit seminar or Holy Spirit revival.
You may want to try it sometime.
It is intriguing that the battle depended on the hands of Moses being raised. If He prayed for them with his hands down, the Amelkites would have won.
Keep your hands raised for our nation. Don't underestimate the faith of a mustard seed.
But here is something interesting about it. All the might of the army did not win the victory. It was the prayer of one person. The prayer of Moses on another occassion saved the entire nation of Israel. Such is the power and efficacy of the prayer of one person who is united to God.
If you have a lot of solitary time on your hands, reach out to God for that faith to accomplish such things for our world. Write down what you think God is telling you. Read up on how to intercede for the world and keep on a piece of paper the Scripture verses to claim that inspire you.
Stay in constant communion with God, often invoking the Holy Spirit, the blood of Jesus, The Angels, and the whole Kingdom of Heaven shall be put into motion.
Make a morning offering every day that your suffering and your chores, no matter how small, be offerings for the Lord that bring his healing grace to the earth. To be a Hermit and live a life of prayer will accomplish more than good external works and preaching provided that you have unwaivering faith, purity of Heart, and are truly in constant communion with God.
How do you live a life of constant prayer and communion with God? Constantly invoking and conversing with God, concentrating on God, studying his word and sacred texts, writing and reciting prayers in Jesus name, (Never underestimate the power of words and blessings), prayers of praise, petition, intercession, and thanksgiving.
It is true. There are many Christians preaching, studying, caring for people, visiting the imprisoned, which pleases God very much, but there are very few people who live an authentic life of prayer as we see with Elijah, Elisha, and John the Baptist in the wilderness. You can't do great things perhaps, but do little things with great love and keep constant prayer, and that is the highest and most powerful vocation. But most of all, pray for God's will in your life.
Pray daily that God give you his Mind, heart, and Spirit, to Guide all your actions and make you an obedient and docile instrument and vessel of His grace. Waste no time. The will of God is the only worthwhile thing to do in this life.
